Mountainous Habitats- by Oula and Dove Class

27 May 2016

In Dove class we have been learning about mountains and mountainious habitats. As well as that we learnt about plants.

In the first lesson we looked at the forms of mountains like: fold moutains, fault block moutains and dome mountains. In another lesson we had to notice mountain types by ourselves. On the next lessons we learnt about plants. We learnt about photosynthesis- this is how a plant makes its own food.

The other thing we looked at with plants was pollination and the parts that are involved with pollination.

On our final day, we created a mountainous habitat using different materials including: tissue paper, card and watercolour paints. We wrote up our work about different animals that live on mountains.
