Year 4 Camp Day 1

03 July 2018

Year 4 children have had their first taste of independence as they left their parents at school and headed off to Ledbury yesterday.

We travelled by minibus to Tythe Barn – we noticed cows, horses and pigs on the way. When we arrived we met the monitors – Alex, Jane, Charlie, Miranda, Ellen and Hazel, they were excited to meet us.

We went to our dormitories and unpacked our stuff before exploring the site with our day monitors. The site is huge and we had to answer quiz questions about it and the adults so we got to know everyone better.

After lunch we did a fire drill and then got ready to go the pool. We had so much fun at the pool – swimming, jumping, sliding and splashing. It’s very sunny here so we stayed in for ages.

When we got out we learned some new games with our monitors before it was time for tea. Next it was round to the pack house - a huge indoor space where we all played games together. We had great fun being blindfolded cops with bouncing robbers, tapping knees and passing balloons!

Then it was time for a story and hot chocolate before bed. It was a bit hot and sticky so some of us took AGES to get to sleep......
