We are looking forward to the year ahead.
The Elmer class teacher is Miss Wilkinson.
The Gruffalo class teacher is Miss Wilkins.
We are very lucky to have Vicky as our LSA.
Due to COVID-19, we will not be able to always answer questions at the end of the day. If you do have a question or a worry, please arrange a time to meet your teacher.
We are always happy to help.
It has been a tough year for everyone but we will do everything we can to make up for lost time, learning lots and having plenty of fun along the way.
Homework
Homework will be sent home on a Thursday and should be brought back on a Monday.
It is really important the children also read regularly at home.
If you want to help your child further, please support them with reading, practising their sounds and counting to 20.
PE
PE will be taught by Mr Rossetti on a Tuesday but PE kits should be in school at all times.
Learning
At the beginning of the year we will learn the Year 1 curriculum using the foundation stage approach of learning through play. This will help a smooth and happy start back at school.
As we move through the year, the children are experiencing more formal whole class teaching.
Children will be helped to wash their hands when they enter and leave school and regularly throughout the day.
Hand sanitiser will be available for children to use throughout the day and adults will help children to use it the correct way.
Children need to bring in their own bottles of water.
