Year 2 had a fantastic trip to the SS Great Britain as part of their local history topic on Brunel.
The trip began with a tour of the steam ship where the children learned lots of interesting facts and compared the experiences of passengers onboard the ship. After this, they had a workshop where they infered information from pictorical sources of evidences, used the tools used to make the ship and reacted the launch of the SS Great Britain by dressing up as Victorians. After lunch, they also had chance to walk around the museum. It really was a fantastic day and the children made us all very proud!
